Infinity Radio
Born and raised in Chicago, music has always been in my life. Every Saturday morning while we did our chores my father would play Jazz on the stereo. I began playing the drums at the age of 13 and have been playing for 50 years. I’ve played Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Jazz Fusion and Blues. When I came home from my stint in the Marine Corps my brother DJ Easin E taught me how to mix so that I could make some money until I found a “day job”. I retired from spinning records for several years because of life, work and bands. When Covid-19 shut things down I had plenty of time on my hands so I came out of “retirement” and have been going strong for the last 3 years. When you tune in you will hear a little of everything from Jazz, Funk, R&B, Blues, House and sometimes Rock. I hope you enjoy my style and I’ll see you in the chat. Peace!

closeHello My name is JoSoFab and I am not a DJ but I consider myself to be a “Curator of Music” on this platform. I have loved music from very young and there’s something about it that has captured my soul. I grew up in a West Indian household being exposed to 3 genres of music: Hymns, Country Western and Calypso. It was not what other kids my age were listening to but I loved all 3. I loved listening to hymns. It was classical music put to lyrics. It was played on an organ. If the words moved me, I would learn them and sing them exactly the way they did in Church and on the radio. I also sang in my youth choir that I helped to create in my Church. Being Wesleyan Methodist we only sang hymns. Then I was introduced to gospel music through my older Sister and a good friend whose parents were the Reverend and First Lady of their own church. I then opened up our traditional members pallets to a new sound of praise and worship. I loved learning all the parts from soprano to bass and being the director of the youth choir it was a good thing to learn four part harmony. The Hallelujah Chorus was one my favorite hymns that taught me to hear every sound, pitch and break up of the parts. Country and Western for me were songs that told stories. Calypso was the cultural music of my family. My parents were older so my musical taste was before my time. Anything that involves music I was in and I was exposed to plays, I loved TV theme songs and singing commercials. My sister introduced me to another form of music, soul R&B. Dionne Warrick was the first album I listened to with a beautiful black woman on the cover and she had such a beautiful unique toned voice. I then started listening to everything from Jackson 5 to the Osmonds Brother’s and everything in between. The Era of Black radio came of age and from there the music floodgates opened. My personal listening growth outside of the music that was played in my home happened when I was about 10 years old in elementary school in the 70’s. I loved listening to Rock and Roll, The Blues, Opera’s and Musicals. The rise and fall of Disco, the birth of Hip Hop, R&B and every facet of music that I could soak up. Music is the core of my existence and the love of music for me has been part of my life’s journey. I used my musical expertise and became a party promoter. My business partners and I started several party promotion teams. I admired the skill of DJ’s and having an ear for music I could hear blends and mixes in my head. I could tell who was great by how they rocked the crowd. When the pandemic hit that part of my life was over but two things happened: 1)my partner came up with a brilliant plan of getting NYC DJ’s together on one platform to keep them relevant and 2) I was introduced to Zoom Karaoke. There I started to sing again. I was in a couple groups and they could not believe the extent of my musical palette. I could sing so many songs that one of my friends who is a DJ named me Karaoke Joe. On FB we started a page called Sunday Funday and the DJ’s would come on that platform and play music. Little did we know what it was going to become. DJ’s from all over started to come on and ask to play. Then FB stopped allowing them to perform so we moved to Periscope and became Grown Folks Live (GFL). There we grew fast and again another shut down and we migrated over to Twitch. We continue to grow GFL where I became a mod for quite a few DJ’s. One of our GFL Team suggested I become an affiliate and I did just that by playing music from playlists I curated. I started chatting with my followers and they became more than followers they became my Fab Fam. I started creating my platform by showing “The Fam” how much music I have in my head, how many songs I can sing and just my love and passion for music. Since I am not a DJ (even though I have been told I am) I decided to call myself a Musical Mod. I never thought in a million years I would be asked to share my talents through radio on a platform of all DJ’s. I am grateful to “The Infinity Radio UK Team” and DJ DogStyle #woof who saw something in me to be a fit for their team, our team. I am so appreciative for the opportunity. Music is My Life and I want to share my love of it with you my “Fab Fam”!

closeGrowing up as a teenager in the early nineties Russell was heavily influenced by the likes of Masters At Work, Bobby & Steve, Tony Humphries, Gilles Peterson, Joey Negro and when it comes to proper U.S house & garage his biggest inspiration was Paul Trouble Anderson who’s Kiss FM show he tuned into religiously from early 95. From the age of 14 Russell was already starting to get his foot in the door of the Brighton dance scene by working on local radio stations Freedom FM & Dfm 101.4. Russell’s early days of working on specialist dance music radio taught him a lot about the industry, which was an amazing opportunity for someone so young, plus getting to rub shoulders with the likes of Norman Cook, Dave Clark and Marshall Jefferson while doing it was also quite an experience too! Russell took some time out for a few years to do other things but then in 2005 he hit the decks and picked up from where he left off, he was soon securing gigs around Brighton and London. In 2007 Russell moved to Bournemouth so he was focusing on local gigs in that part of the country. While in Bournemouth Russell got spotted by the South West's infamous soulful house event “God Made Me Funky” and soon became a resident DJ. After being snapped up by God Made Me Funky in 2008, the following year Russell picked up another residency, this time in Brighton at the Funky Buddha Lounge playing for London house music promotion Bobby & Steve Presents. During this time Russell picked up gigs from other promoters in the same venue. Then more Brighton gigs came in, including a Friday night residency at Heist. Bookings and residencies for venues included: Audio, Digital, Funky Buddha Lounge and The Coalition in Brighton. Bar 54, Stanza, Medicine, The C.A.M.P and Bar Vinyl in London. Not forgetting gigs in other parts of the UK including: The Midlands, Bristol, Dorset and Devon. Things blew up in no time and bookings from around the country were rolling in, all of the traveling from Bournemouth was too much so Russell moved back to Brighton. As well as DJing for some of the best events and venues in the UK Russell has also been lucky enough to play alongside some of his favorite DJ’s and producers which include: Karizma, Paul Trouble Anderson, Aaron Ross & Neil Pierce from The Fanatix, Lady Duracell, Suff & Maurice from Mange’ Le Funk, Grant Nelson, Victor Simonelli, Bobby & Steve, Spen, DJ Romain, Sarah Favouritizm, Brandon Block, CJ Mackintosh, Richard Earnshaw and The Aphrodisiax to name a few. In 2010 Russell created a new house music brand/ collective called Soul Damn Funky. SDF soon became a very successful event. SDF was the only event in Brighton specialising in niche US house and garage/ soulful house. SDF was also the only event bringing down such headliners as Paul Trouble Anderson and CJ Mac. In 2011 Russell launched SDF, the radio show which was weekly on Saturday mornings. In May 2012 Russell released a compilation album in conjunction with Bassline Records and a year later the album was still in the Traxsource classics top ten! Following on from the success of the first album, in 2013 Russell teamed up with house music superstar DJ/ producer Todd Terry and released another compilation on InHouse Records. Russell carried on putting on Soul Damn Funky events until 2020, then the world came to a halt! Due to the quiet period that started in 2020 and Russell's own unexpected health problems (unrelated) Russell has just been working quietly in the background. Russell created a new music brand called “Turn It Loose” TIL hasn’t yet hosted a party but has been running as a very successful radio show since April 2022. 2023 and Russell has just produced his first record called “For The Love” a very percussive upbeat house track, it's already got support from some of the biggest names in the industry. For The Love is due for release at the end of August 2023

closeDJ Mikey Jorge from dallas tx is a big fan of dance music at a young age & not knowing what the future had in store. Musical interests continued with the magic & beauty of trance music. After high school and entering the club scene. I had my first experience of a DJ "rockin the house" with 2 turntables and a mixer at age 16. Thru this experience, i decided that i wanted to become a dj and create energy through the art of DJin. With over 10 years of experience am really excited about new ventures and projects to come in the near future.
