Slick Steve
Born and raised in Chicago, music has always been in my life. Every Saturday morning while we did our chores my father would play Jazz on the stereo. I began playing the drums at the age of 13 and have been playing for 50 years. I’ve played Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Jazz Fusion and Blues. When I came home from my stint in the Marine Corps my brother DJ Easin E taught me how to mix so that I could make some money until I found a “day job”. I retired from spinning records for several years because of life, work and bands. When Covid-19 shut things down I had plenty of time on my hands so I came out of “retirement” and have been going strong for the last 3 years. When you tune in you will hear a little of everything from Jazz, Funk, R&B, Blues, House and sometimes Rock. I hope you enjoy my style and I’ll see you in the chat. Peace!
